Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how the Cozy Light mobile application (the “App”) handles information when you download or use it. By using the App, you acknowledge this Policy and the Terms of Service.

Information we process
Stored on your device
Cozy Light stores your app preferences locally on your device. These may include onboarding completion, favourite scenes, the most recently played scene, sound volume or mute preference, sleep reminder preference and time, display preference, and Premium-unlock state. This information is not sent to a Cozy Light server.
Notifications
If you turn on a bedtime reminder, Cozy Light asks iOS for notification permission. The reminder is scheduled locally by iOS. You can turn it off in the App or change notification permissions in iOS Settings.
Analytics
Cozy Light uses Google Firebase Analytics to measure basic app activity, such as app launches and aggregated technical and usage information. Firebase may process device identifiers, IP-address-derived information, device and operating-system details, and interaction data according to Google’s policies. We do not intentionally send the contents of your favourites, reminder time, or other local settings to Firebase Analytics.
Cozy Light does not require a Cozy Light account, collect names or contact details through the App, access your photo library, camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location, or use cross-app behavioural advertising.

How information is used
We use locally stored preferences to provide the App’s features, such as remembering your selected scene and scheduling an optional reminder. We use aggregated analytics to maintain, understand, troubleshoot, and improve Cozy Light. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Sharing and service providers
We share information only as needed to operate the App, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or support a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. The App currently uses:
- Google Firebase Analytics, which provides analytics services under Google’s terms and privacy practices.
- Apple, which provides App Store distribution, device services, and notifications according to its own privacy policy.
These providers may process information outside your country. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy information: Firebase Privacy and Security, Google Privacy Policy, and Apple Privacy Policy.

Your choices
You can remove favourites, turn off reminders, change reminder times, and reset other preferences in the App where available. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings. You may limit certain analytics through the privacy controls available on your device and from Google, where applicable.
Deleting the App normally removes its local app data from the device. iOS, device backups, and third-party providers may retain information under their own settings and policies.

Retention and security
Local preferences remain until you change them, erase the App’s data, or delete the App. Firebase retains analytics information in accordance with applicable service settings and Google’s policies. We use reasonable measures appropriate to the App, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Children
Cozy Light is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us information through support correspondence, please contact us so we can address the concern.

Changes and contact
We may update this Policy when the App, its providers, or applicable requirements change. The current version will be posted here with a revised effective date.
